Great for active dogs
The flirt pole is excellent quality and my border collie puppy loves playing with it. He's yet to really understand how to play with the super tug toy, but once he does I'm sure he'll love it just as much.

Will using a flirt pole increase my dog's prey drive and make them more aggressive? A common belief about flirt poles is that they are used to increase prey drive or aggression. Based on our experience and the feedback we have received from customers, we think the opposite is true. Our opinion is that all dogs have a prey drive instinct, some much higher than others. We feel that similar to how exercise releases a dog's pent up energy and makes them more relaxed, working with a flirt pole releases a dog's pent up prey drive energy and makes them less aggressive towards animals they would normally consider prey. Every dog is unique and we can't make any guarantees in this regard, but we have yet to receive a complaint.
Can my dog get hurt playing with a Flirt Pole? Any activity causing dogs to run, jump, or quickly change direction has the possibility of causing injury. However, when the instructions are followed and the Flirt Pole is used responsibly, it is no more dangerous than throwing a ball for your dog to chase. For anyone with concerns about flirt poles being too strenuous on high drive dogs, watch the technique used by one of our customers in the video below. No jumping and no quick changes in direction but still getting a super workout!
How strong is the Super Tug? While we don't have any official load ratings for the Super Tug, it was designed with components capable of handling several hundred pounds of weight. The video below is a simple demonstration of the strength of the Super Tug.
Can my dog get hurt playing with the Super Tug? The Bow-Wow Super Tug was designed to be a much safer alternative to "spring pole" type devices, however, the instructions and safety precautions should be closely followed to minimize the chance of injury.
I don’t have a tree in my backyard. I do have a fenced in yard, and was wondering if it would work if put around a certain number of chain links with a post included in there. I think it really depends on how strong the dog is and how well the fence is anchored to the ground. I think you would be fine with your Rat Terriers, but I would be concerned with something like a 100lb Rottweiler unless all of the fence posts were set really well in concrete. Even then, you would need to supervise carefully to make sure the repeated tugging doesn’t loosen the fence posts. I would recommend before purchasing to try giving a few tugs on one of your fence posts yourself. If it wobbles much at all, I don’t think it would be a good idea to use it as an anchor for the Super Tug.

Great toys for wearing out strong dogs. Excellent for training to drop the toy and leave it. My dogs favourite toy by far
